We wanted to move from being a group of freelancers to building a professional business. The team worked different jobs, but filmmaking remained the ambition that brought us back together.
Money was limited, so we started with what we could afford, including second-hand equipment. Working from that base taught us to be resourceful and to keep improving the tools and systems behind our work.

We want Retro Daddy Empire to grow into a multinational organization that makes products and provides services for the betterment of people and the world, including work that supports ocean cleanup, environmental care, and animal welfare.

Retro Daddy Empire is a Udyam-registered MSME.
S. Sriram developed the Retro Daddy idea, its principles, and its direction. He studied B.Sc. Visual Communication at Hindustan College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore, and left college because he could not afford the fees. He continues pursuing creative work and filmmaking. He has also been independently developing Ameivu, Arumbu, and Tamizhi, with AI tools supporting his development process.
Sri Gowtham and S. Sriram are childhood friends. Gowtham studied B.Com. IT & Aviation at Hindustan College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore. He now leads Retro Daddy AI Labs and oversees its AI work with Sriram. He is also known as Mr Tiruppur through his motorcycle-vlogging YouTube channel.

John studied B.Sc. Visual Communication at Hindustan College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore, where he was a classmate of S. Sriram and Gokul Krishnan. He has worked as an assistant cinematographer on Pothanur Thabal Nilayam (2022). At Retro Daddy Cinematics, he leads operations and animation direction.
Gokul studied B.Sc. Visual Communication at Hindustan College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore with S. Sriram and John Bosco Francies. He leads Retro Daddy Studios and manages its event work. He also worked as a storyboard artist on Kudumbasthan and played the lead role in Konjam Konjam (2017), He appeared in a small negative role in Bujji and a small character role in the Malayalam anthology film Shades of Life, released on November 21, 2025.
